bauroc LINTEL is used as a load-bearing element for spanning window and door openings in bauroc block walls (except for LINTELS with a width of 100 mm). The bauroc LINTEL is calculated as a single-span beam and is designed to carry specific loads.
It is not recommended to load the LINTEL with concentrated loads. The reinforcement of the LINTEL allows multi-story house floor panels to be supported directly on the lintel without the need for additional rows of blocks.

FOR LINTELS, on each side, they must rest on support surfaces as many mm as indicated for that specific size of lintel with respect to the opening below in the table. Bauroc recommends support surfaces of 250-300 mm. In the case of longer lintels, there may be a need to increase the support surface. Support surfaces must be flat and made of whole blocks. Support surfaces and also the blocks of the previous row must be glued with a full joint (without air gaps). The LINTEL itself is also completely covered with a layer of adhesive. Where possible, it is recommended to use LINTELS with a height of 400 mm. The load-bearing capacity of such LINTELS is always greater, and the deflection is significantly less.
It is prohibited to saw LINTELS in order to reduce their size, to drill into the lintels, to mill channels, or to make any other changes that affect the properties of the LINTEL.

bauroc LINTELS are made according to the width of bauroc blocks (500mm, 375mm, 300mm, 250mm, 200mm, 150mm, 100mm). Their height is 200 mm (one block height), 400 mm (two blocks height) or 600 mm (three blocks height) if their length is greater than 5 m. All LINTELS (except for lintels with a width of 100 mm) are used as load-bearing elements.
