TILE ADHESIVE KNAUF K4 C2T S1, 25 KG
Application The thin-layer tile adhesive is intended for:
- Unstable base - Knauf dry floors
- Structures with single-layer and multi-layer gypsum board coverings
- Moisture-resistant wood surfaces, if the necessary instructions are followed
- Surfaces exposed to sudden temperature changes
- Balconies and terraces
- Surfaces directly affected by moisture
- Heated floors
- Gluing new tiles onto old tiles
Suitable for:
- Gluing clinker tiles for facade finishing
- Gluing opaque natural stone panels
- Gluing water-absorbent and non-absorbent tiles
Base: It must be smooth, firm, not frozen, free of dust, paint, and grease residues.
Mixing: Mix the contents of the bag with clean water by hand or with a slowly rotating mixer to form a homogeneous mass without lumps. Wait 5 minutes for the mixture to mature, and mix again. The consistency of the adhesive can be adjusted by adding more powder or water.
Water quantity For 25 kg of powder, add about 6-7 liters of water.
Usage: Apply the mixed mixture with the smooth side of a notched trowel to the entire prepared surface. Then comb with the notched side of the trowel, tilted at a 90° angle (the trowel teeth are chosen according to tile sizes). Firmly press the tiles into the prepared adhesive layer with light circular movements. If a film has formed on the top adhesive layer (check with a finger!), wipe the adhesive and apply it again. The adhesion time and adjustments depend on the base and tile absorption properties, as well as the temperature of the air and base.
Grouting: Grout only after the adhesive has fully hardened. Wall tile joints - no sooner than 1 day, floor tile joints - no sooner than 2 days.
