Finishing clay plaster is a natural interior wall finish that allows you to create not only a healthy and cozy but also a modern interior in various spaces. The plastering process can be a manageable task not only for professionals but also for those doing it for the first time. Finishing clay plaster is applied twice on different surfaces. The total thickness of the plaster is 2 mm. It can be applied on various types of plaster, gypsum boards, and other panels, or even on old surfaces such as firmly adhered paints, wallpapers, or even ceramic tiles.
With a 25 kg package of finishing clay plaster, you can cover approximately 16 m² twice, with a total thickness of 1-2 mm.
COLORS – the mixture is white but can be tinted with dry mineral color pigments. The color palette includes more than 100 colors.
PLASTER FOR:
- Classic clay plaster/finishing clay plaster;
- Gypsum plaster;
- Lime plaster;
- Cement plaster;
- Gypsum boards;
- Gypsum fiber boards;
- Cement, chipboard, and other construction material panels intended for plastering or filling;
- Older plastered, painted surfaces;
- Classic Mr. Clay plaster for stoves and fireplaces.
MIX PREPARATION:
Pour 8.5 – 9 L of water into a container with a volume of at least 35 L, add all the pigment if you are tinting the plaster, and mix well with a special electric mixer. While continuing to mix, slowly pour in the entire package of finishing clay plaster, mix well, and cover the container, allowing the mixture to swell for 1h to 12h. The mixture may appear quite liquid, but it will thicken later. Before plastering work, mix the clay plaster again.
Don’t be surprised to see the color of the wet mixture – when dry, it will be much lighter, like the color you chose.
DRYING – depending on the ambient temperature, humidity, and the size of the plastered surfaces, drying may take from 4 to 24 hours.
